Since we moved into our house last January, the lightbulbs keep blowing out. We go through about 5 a week. My husband says it's not the electical current going through the house because I thought it might be too strong. He thinks it's the lightbulbs but they only blow out when I turn on the lights. We also are experiencing a foul, garbage smell at the top of the stairs going to the basement. The basement doesn't smell once you get down there, just at the top of the stairs. We've checked under the stairs and above the stairs and found nothing. It's really weird. Things are always disappearing in my kitchen then reappearing in the same place I've just looked. Sometimes the front door won't open for no reason too. Things fall off counters, tables, etc. for no reason too. It's freaking me out. How can I tell if the house is haunted? Anyone had the same experiences?

Hi Everyone, I wanted to post my experience here, hoping for any sort of explanation.
I wasn't tired, but it was around 11pm and I thought I'd just go to bed, so I turned my light off, and then got into bed, and turned to face the wall. When I closed my eyes, it felt like someone was pushing on the mattress behind me. This freaked me out, so I looked, but saw nothing and the pushing continued even when I looked. I turned back, kinda freaked out, and then my light turned on, and then off again. I sleep in my own room, and lock my door at night. No-one was in the room but me, which is a bummer 'cos now I have no proof.
If anyone has had a similar experience, or can explain this, I would be happy to chat with them sometime!

I have had experianced the same instances as Teri and Tommy and more. It has been going for years driving me crazy. My question: what is a solution. It has been very difficult to live with it. I can write a book about it, but this is not going to help me.
