just asking... my friends say that they've never even SEEN a street lamp burn out !!
(... "they're industrial strength , heavy duty lamps, and its very rare"... they say )
Yet, I witness this at least a couple of times a week....

I have never seen "street lamps" burn out because someone was around them, however I have a friend that when she is around some light sources ie lamps, light bulbs, etc, they glow brighter...She has been told that it is something in her that reacts with the electrical currents, because of her strong psycic abilities. This was from a medium that she sees on a regular basis. So perhaps you too have this and don't know it.

Wow. I thought I was the only person that it happens to!!
It occurs from time to time, but when it happens, it happens for a few days, or it's two or three in a row that go out ( and no, they're not on timers, the rest of the street stay on) But what I find weird is that it occurs just as I am passing it/them.
And yes, it unnerves me a bit.

Is there any emotional/mental/phsychological stress you are under when your around these objects that make them react when your brain is having extreme stress or discharges?

Every sense I was a young child these kinds of things has happened to me, not really sure what they mean. I also have visions and hear things that aren't really there. I have wondered if I was truely crazy, or if everyone else around me was just not paying attension to what was really going on.

Street lights burn out around me frequently. A couple of months ago as I was passing under a street light when it went out. I was with my cousin when it happened and told him that the world would be in darkness if street lights burned out for everyone the way they burn out for me. He thought that I was nuts, but as soon as I was done reassuring him that I was serious, a second light burned out. He was blown away, as was I. Its been happening to me for years. In fact, a woman I used to hang out with mentioned it one night when we went out. She brought it up because it happened to her as well. I was excited to find out someone else was experiencing it. That was more than 14 years ago and it's still happening. It's no coincidence and it's not timers on the lights. I don't know what it is but it happens and it unnerves me a bit -- that's why I came online to do an unlikely search regarding the topic!

Have any of you tried the experiments from the RetroPsychoKinesis Project and had superb results (as in greater than 1 in 5 chance three times in a row and/or greater than 1 in 20 chance within 10 tries)? Here's the link: http://www.fourmilab.ch/rpkp/

I have had this phenomenon occur for me for as long as I can remember. I can be going down the highway, suburban street, freeways...anywhere there are streetlights and usually depending on the drive anywhere between 1-4 street lights will turn off. I have no clue what causes the phenonmenon, or how to train it, or use it in someother capacity other than to say that I have an uncanny ability to fix electronics...I can take a computer that 3 of my fellow collegues have looked at and deemed bad and just plug it in and turn it on and it works.
I wish someone had an answer to this little mystery

I honestly thought this only happens to me. I told a lot of people who didn't believe me until it happened while they were with me a bunch of times. I would really love to know why this happens to me and a select few others.
