For years I have lived with ghosts, it doesnt matter what kind of house it is, there is usaully a ghost(but not all the house if lived in have been haunted)The weird thing is that the place doesnt become haunted intil a few weeks after living there, the past couple of places I've lived in this has happened.It does not scare me for I've interacted with ghost ever since I was five and in particular,the current ghost I live with can share emotions.But If any body else has this same 'gift',drop a line.

I have had many ghost experiences, including possession. My brother, Jack, is experiencing daily ghost visitiations. He is ill with Parkingson's and feels they have made him will, and want to take over his body. I have done performed to the best of my ability, an exorcism, similiar to one that was performed on me. I feel the ghouls left Jack's house. However,he feels that they followed him to his new residence. Yes, he actually moved out to keep from going insane. I understand completly. In my last apartment, I could not sleep in my bedroom. I slept on the couch with the tv on in the living room every night. Before I moved out, I took pictures of my apartment and every picture taken in my bedroom has an orb and a streak of light in it. I have had many other things happen in that apartment with guests there to witness. When I moved, a few weeks later, I noticed similar feelings and things in my new apartment. I laid down for bed and tried to call out to a spirit to visit me because I have wanted to commune with them for a long time. I either finally had a contact or a major ass hallucination.

i felt the hair on my midriff rustle and my skin started tingling (i just moved in and am sleeping on the floor by the way) i looked up and swaths of white and black played across my vision. like my eyes trying to adjust from dark to light or vise versa. i gained focus for a minute and saw a shrouded figure standing on ME! my eyes blurred again and came back to focus on a dark ceiling.
after the visual of the figure disapeared the tingling came and went finally it went but I had a feeling I have never felt before upon looking into that dark hood and seeing those flowing robes. my heart was racing and it was just undescribable. nothing like I expected, I thought I'd be scared. I was actually excited more than I have ever been.

i have only actually seen one or two ghosts, but that was only for a few seconds.

although, i can sense major stuff around me. ghosts or anything else. you know, just weird stuff.

how it works with me is i feel like im slightly dizzyand my eyes are being pushed in just a little. but i never actually see anything.

this happens every single time i go upstairs to one certain room in my cousins house.

I've lived in numerous houses where odd ghostly things have occured. I won't bother you all with stories but I have been interested in trying to make contact. I seem to attract spirts but not on my own terms, if that makes much sense. I've seen spirts, heard strange noises around me, etc. etc. The few times I've attempted to try to make contact with whoever/whatever was around me but I always feel the presents of danger when I begin to do this. I feel uneasy and whoever/whatever is around me seems to want to scare me more then make contact with me. I don't know if this is evil or what the deal is. During my last attempt at trying to communicate with whoever/whatever was around me, I felt a cold rush threw my body as if something jumped in and then out. It scared the s*** out of me and I now try my best to block any bright ideas out of my mind when anything happens. Questions, comments, hatemail?

Never posted to anything like this before but I have to tell someone, I have seen a few different (things i cant name) I have seen a few sort of fuzzy white ghosly things that did not make me feel scared, on the same note I have seen these darker almost like floating faces(while im in bed)that seem to change constantly but those scare me to the point that i cannot move or speak. No matter how hard i try all i can do is close my eyes. now I can deal with that because it doesnt happen that often. but a couple days ago i was playing cards wide awake daytime with inlaws. i was looking at my cards and out of the corner of my eye i noticed someone was sitting next to my mother in law(i saw a bald headed person head hanging down) this made me look over directly at it when i did he slowly lifted his head met my eyes and seemed to start to lean towards me glaring into my eyes OMG it was so scary i closed my eyes when idid my mominlaw had one of those cold chills and let out a brrr sound. I opened my eyes and she was shaking saying she had a cold chill. he was gone. He looked as real as you or me except he looked dead sort of bluish color but real i saw facial features and everythgn. I was so freaked out and didnt say anything right away when i did i got those looks like i was nuts but they were gracious and didnt say anything instead she said well it was probably my guardian angel.
the next day my hubby told me to go back over and look at pictures of family . on the wall they had a mirage of old pics . the man i saw was there it was her grandfather... Can anyone tell me why i might have seen that . or is there a way to make sure i dont see anythign like that again? I did not like meeting that persons eyes it was like he was looking right through me like i was a ghost or something/. well maybe i am nuts ( i was in the process at the time of quiting smoking) chalk it up to withdrawl from nicotene or something guess i am gonna post pone the quiting just incase . thanks for listening to my ratlings

Some people are more attractive to ghosts than others, I agree with Doc that you shouldn't call out to anything unless you absolutely want to deal with it and know how to deal with it.
Personally, I'm fine with cold sensations, noises, feeling watched, and the rare appearance-- but the moment they start moving things around I'd be packing my bags and moving out. We have one that unlocks and opens the front door to our house, which is pushing my limits (I've changed the lock to a dead bolt that needs a key from outside and inside-- didn't work, still gets unlocked and opened).
My house BTW is the most unspooky place in the world (late 1940's 'ranch' home, has been in my family since the 1950's, only one family lived here before my grandparents moved in with my mom and they were poor, but nothing significantly traumatic has happened here.) We have a remodel underway and hope they go away when it's finished

Me and one of my friends (much older than me , shes in colledge actualy )have been followed by ghosts for more than half of my life, and got worse when I began witchcraft , which I was at a young age.Little by little they would try to contact me more and more , within my dreams , moving objects etc.I decided to do a spell to open a door in my mind , to see ghosts , etc. and it actually worked !recently I realised that I was soposed to be thier keaper in a way , their always with me one way or another , and I thought I should post this . well, i always have the cold chills, feeling im being watched, noises, and have seen one or two ghosts in my life. they were all at my grandmothers house. the first was before my grandpa died here, the second was after. anyway, only one other person has owned it before her and it was some army person and i dotn know of anything that happened here while he lived here. anyway, just today the bottom of the remote that covers up the battery got taken off about 3 different times in an hour. and a couple things have been mysteriously misplaced here. so, whatever.

our house has many ghosts but they dont bother us now but strangers hate our bathroom saying it is spooky just the feel of it my sister was even grabed by something in there. and since our cat died in february both me and my youngest son have heard the bell on his collar.(we dont have any other cats) at first i thought it was wishful thinking but then my son heard it and was spooked i told him that our cat(wispa) is only checking to see if we are well, wispa once saved his life when my son was small. and yes the bell is heard near the bathroom, we hear doors open, footsteps up stairs when no one is up stairs, dark shadows. doors flying open. and my eldest son seeing his nan. my moto is as lonk as they dont harm my family i can live with the occasional bump in the night. thanks for listening on day i might share my sons experence with you.

Thats a great story Berenice. My cat recently died and I hope he's still around beacuse he was so much a part of my life. I also live with ghosts. They seem to follow me. One in particular has been with me for 5 years. Even though I have moved 4 times in that time frame. He's benevolent and has a great sense of humor. I have even given him a name. I don't practice witchcraft even though I have tried a spell in the past just to see what would happen. I think your religion has nothing to do with spirits following or contacting you. Some people just put forth energies that spirits recognize and adhere to.

Responding to col and anonymous (June 10,2002), I am 34 years old and have encounters with the supernatural since the day before my seventh birthday. I've encountered everything from spirits, orbs, demons, portals and other entities. Most of my experiences have been bad, only a handful were good. They're getting worse as time progresses. I've even sustained a few serious injuries from poltergeists. Once an encyclopedia was thrown at my head and the other time a butcher's knife stabbed me in the right shoulder. I still have the scar. I've been a supernatural 'magnet' all my life. No matter what I do, they do not go away. I've even done ghost hunting and that wasn't much fun, let me tell you. I've even become a "Dear Abby" for people who have had paranormal encounters. So if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask. When I was younger I started having prophetic dreams and found that I had psychokinesis. It's a curse more then anything. This is a long story, so bare with me...i will try and make it short as possible...I am a teenager...somewhat an outsider you could say...I mean, i am different...recetly, my mom married this guy (her third husband) and his name is Dave. She got married to him after only seeing him 2 times...she always told me how there was somethin about him and he had a certain purpose in our family or somethin or other..i was like "right.." Well, when we moved into a house, the lady who owned it said that there USED to be ghost like activity everynow and then but then it resided and nothin of the subject has happend for years untill we moved in...well, one night i had a horrifying experience...although i was so interested in the paranormal subject, it was still horrifying...it was talking to me...whoever or wutever was talking to me...so, i repeadedly stated to it (while screaming and crying) "I COMMAND YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST TO GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE" and with a lot of patience it finally left but before it was gone it decided to turn on my mothers blow dryer...with a lot of comfort from my mom and this "dave", i stopped crying and then dave wanted to talk to me about something...well, our conversation was about how i have a special sensitivity to ghosts and spirits and dave already knew that before he got to know me because he, well, is psycic and im the only one that knows other than his mother...i dont know what to do..im not emotionally strong to handle these things...what should i do???

my grandmother is a ghost magnet. I understand. she's even seen what looked like a munk in a black robe with no face come up her stairs and it went to the attic and moved the door which you need a latter to get to and it left the door open. That was a spooky house. I remember that house I was very young when she lived there. I always felt like something was not right in that house like a bad ora or something. Its nice to get this off your chest without people thinking your chesse fell off your cracker. The person who's brother is possed should see a priest to see if he can get rid of the demon or have your brother drink Holy Water it may help.

Yes I've been 'touched'.like most of you I have over the years had 'experiences'.I rarely have visual images although once I saw flashes/speckles of light in different areas of my room and had objects move and crash around (a shared experience).Now most of them begin with disturbed sleep and the sensation of being pinned down by a heavy weight & a fight to escape it.Once this sensation was accompanied by the bed shaking.One of my most recent experiences I was touched several times and left with an icy sensation & awareness that I was'nt alone in the room.I became an insomniac and eventually found help through a medium/spiritualist. I had already aproached someone who tried to help- a kinesthologist/medium who meant well but was unfortunatly out of their depth.I've learnt that some people are vulnerable like myself & also vulnerable to some of those we seek help from.There seems to be no shortage of unexplainable storys but lets share some answers on ways to overcome them.

Protection, a shield of white light around you, alway's. The air waves are full of crazy's as on the earth plane. Like a lock on the door of your home, we need them on our physical bodies. If you are a reciever of bad entities burn sage or dragon's blood incence a powerful cleaner too. Also start attracting higher beings to rid the lower ones from you. Simply ask and you shall recieve. Visualization a great tool. Negative poled people will attract lower energy as well. So guard your thought chambers as well as your actions. What comes around goes around, we never get away with bad deeds. Another one is intoxication, it leaves portals in your body for shitty entitys to comune with you. I am not perfect and this reinforcment I'm giving you all should help me as well. These are just tools for guarding yourself. Oh yea, keep in the mode of love, a powerful, powerful tool too. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I have had this experience with a ghost trying to contact me or something in my sleep. She was in my dream and it was so real. I cant explain how i was feeling. My sleep was so deep that when I woke up for the rest of the day I was in a fog that I couldnt seem to clear out of my mind. Does this make sense? Could someone please help me?

Answers... I dont know if we could ever get them all but I will share with you what I have learned thus far..I have too had quite a few paranormal experiences starting at a young age..Mostly in my dreams however the latest one has made me start seeking some knowledge.. It seems to help knowing what to do when these occurances happen.. knowing for sure that Life is the srongest energy.. next to love.... so these spirits cannot really harm you other than scaring you half to death.. they share whatever emotion they carry which is most usually fear if evil.. or hopelessness .. being lost ..there are many emotions.. they seem to be attracted to us persons who have a higher mind where the door is open to them..
that brings me to another point.. I have also just learned that you may be able to shut the door by choosing to ignore it..if you do not want to use your ability.. there is much to be learned on this subject.. Hope this helps you as well

I too have experienced many ghostly phenomena.Since I was about 8 yrs old I have experienced many things paranormal and in our family ,this is looked on as normal.My mom and some siblings are the same in this regard for the most part and have their experiences.It doesnt bother me at all, especially if the ghosts i see is someone I know who has passed.I not only see, but feel ghosts and have heard them as well.I usually know my ghosts and sometimes a person i care about will appear to me at the moment of their death.It happens for a few seconds and I know.I also have many premonitions.I try to keep this part of my life private as not all people think this is normal.When I have a new friendship often at first if I choose to share ths part of my life with them, they will be joking and asking things for fun.Then when i answer them correctly everything changes and they relaize the paranormal is not be be played with but repected.I am glad i have this gift but I only use it for good.

I know what you are going through. I, too, have seen the paranormal. I have had dreams about them too. I have been scared out of my witts more than once. I used to sleepwalk while I was dreaming. I would have dreams of being in my house and someone or something telling me to help them or it. So while I was asleep, I would get up and walk, just as I was in my dream. I scared me half to death when I woke up standing in the kitchen one night. I didn't know what I was doing there. I don't know what advice to give you. I've tried everything. It keeps comeing back, over and over again.

I have a couple entities that have attatched themselves to me. I use to have more but I consulted a healer and we helped some of them to the light, I was informed that the others were probably not past life they were probably past feelings that were so intense they developed into energy, that appears as mist or orbs to the human eye.

I am what they refer to as a empathetic clairvoyant, I feel them and whatever they are about whether it be of pain and suffering or of anger, or if they are playful or happy or inlove.I can see images but only in flashes and sometimes so fast I cant make them out.
It sometimes drains me. Sometimes it is very uplifting I can also do this with the living just not as intense for some reason.

When I was a child I could feel them every night and sometimes see them sometimes even talk to them.
Its kinda weird about Carlisle Pa because I use to live there and think that I saw them there too need to find out what age I lived there.
When we lived in Hershey Pa , we lived in this old farm house. I would see a little girl in Pig tails but they had spirals and red velvet dress like in the early 1800s a older man looked like he was a worker he was dressed in rags, he was not of color, yet still looked like he was a servant. He was with her sometimes and I remember her not staying long and I felt scared when he was there. She always whispered who are you and help me.

There have been many to follow and for a long time I ignored my ability, until about the last five years have I really opened myself up to it.

I am writing on behalf of my sister who phoned me last night "totally freaked out". For the past 10 years she had experienced little things, like drinks coasters hanging off the coffee table, a card flying off the mantlepiece on to her lap, ornaments being turned around etc. She also felt there was a presence in her flat. She has recently moved from this flat and said the last week she was there the atmosphere was so oppressive she was relieved to finally get out of there. When she moved into her new flat she said it was such a happy atmosphere she felt "home". Unfortunately, after about a month things started to happen. There are noises coming from the kitchen all the time, ornaments are still getting turned around, the ring on the hob went on and made a plate explode, which just missed her, something has been continually tugging at her clothes. Last night she was taking a swig out of a coke bottle and something bashed it against her mouth so hard that her lips and teeth were bleeding. She believed that she had got rid of the spirit or whatever it was when she moved. Is it possible that it followed her? It seems that it is now trying to harm her. Is there anyway she can get it to stop? She is considering moving again - but will it follow?

I too have ghosts in my house.
It's freaking me out, i can't stand it.
The feeling someone is watching me all the time, shadows, footsteps on the stairs, knocking on my bedroom door (very loud), doors opening by themselves, things being moved. Once a ghost even scratched my face.

Only once have i seen a ghost who didn't scare me.
All the other ones i've seen scared me to the point where i couldn't speak or move.
i can feel them if they are in the house or when i'm outside and they are near me.

I don't want it anymore.
IS there anyway i can get it to stop??

Reading everyones messages lets me know theres an equal balance of crap and genuine honest requests for help. Most of those who have the gift of hearing, seeing and feeling the presence of familiar spirits should communicate with a level of great respect and not treat the experience as a game for amusement. Hey..AmIcrazy?....I have had something similar happen to me...I have always been in the healthcare field, and have taken care of a lot of people, and most of them were either really sick or dying. A few years back, I was taking care of this lady that was bedstricken with alzheimers and the first day I went to see her, I went in and this was very early in the morning and only one person was up and I had never met any of the other family before this. There was a man sitting in the room right next to where this lady was at, I saw him in there and said Hi. He said nothing just kind of looked at me and gawked so I went on. As time went on and I continued taking care of this lady, her family and I got pretty close and became good friends. One day I was talking to her daughter-in-law on the phone and I asked her who was this man that I saw the first day I came to visit because I hadn't seen him there anymore. I described him to her and she said there isnt any other man but her and her husband that was ever there. And she said it sounded like her mother-in-laws' son that had been murdered. Well, normaly I wouldnt have said anything further to her, but she had told me of some strange goings on there in there house, as I had encountered them myself. And I asked her if she had a picture of him and she said yes she would look for one. Well, I didnt't waste any time going over there because I was really curious. And low and behold, this was a picture of her son that had been murdered that I saw that first day sitting on the couch. And he was just as plain as day to me, never would have thought he was a ghost. I guess you could say I have always been one of those people that attracted the paranormal. Strange things have happened to me throughout my life.
