Isn't part of the fun of having a pet of any kind learning about their nature the same as we do with each other. To have the same animal with the same looks AND the same personality - way too 'Stepford'. No thanks - everyone and everything is different lets keep it that way!!
Yeah but some people are so used to a certain thing they refuse to adjust.
I wouldnt want to have the exact same pet running around for all of my life either. But the thing that is facinating to me is that with cloning, comes the ability to regenerate body parts. Therefore cloning is actually away to find a fountain of youth. However, I dont think it is right to live forever, I know I sure dont want to. But if I had a herediary disease that would end my life as a teenager, or as a child. I would like to know that I could have parts of my body replaced with a perfect match.
Let's make this clear...cloning and medical cloning (what you suggest) are two different processes.
Just imagine! Another me. Just what I don't need. I have an identical twin.
what if you lost a loved one and some scientist told you that you could have them back. isnt that worth the risk
Plus I think its kinda "Messing with suff not meant to be messed with"
