I am interested in the many sightings around great britain of big black cats stalking our countryside. It seems incredible to me that the government are saying it is a load of bollocks.
I have my self seen one so i know they are living in our countryside.Anyone else had any encounters with big black cats.

I haven't had any encounters, but to my knowledge there are lots of exotic animals running wild in the uk due to a law that was passed sometime in the 60's which then prevented people from being able to keep dangerous animals as pets. Following the law being put on the statute books, all the loony rich people who had pet tigers/pumas etc in their gardens just let them go in the countryside, and they've been there ever since (apart from the ones that've died, of course).

I had a an experience with a black cat. Me and my Dad were heading over a motorway bridge in the midlands UK,when some thing with a big, long black tail apeared to jump down into the embankment. We stopped the car and got out to take a look. There was an obvious trail that this animal used as there were holes in the headges where it went through. My dad rang the local police station and the copper said there had been many sightings. One theory of how these animals got into the UK is that these wealthy families that have estates all over England sometime got the animals as pets. An old lady of a wealthy family who lived near me owned a panther which, to the distress of the locals, she used to walk round the village. The Cat go out one day and escaped into the park where it was caught and taken to the Zoo. Many of these escaped pets have not been caught. Many farmers also have found dead livestock with servere injuries made by that of a large animal.
