I'm currently researching ghosts and as expected many questions arise. I do belive in them. One question that I'm currently looking into is based on the believer. It seems common to me that the believer believes that a ghost is possibly either a soul/lost soul or spirt from a human that has passed over. If that is the case you belive that the human body has or had a soul right? therefor you belive in God in some way and possibly in some way you are religious?. I'm interested to know from any people out there that belive in ghosts and do not belive in God or religion and I would like to know therefor what they think a ghost is and where it has come from. And also it would be interesting to hear from people that do belive in God but have a different view on what a ghost is.

An excellent topic. I, too, am interested in the trend of witnesses being religious vs. non-religious. Personally, I am an atheist. I do believe in some sort of benevolent force, yet I also believe that it is very possible for ghosts to exist even without a "god." Many believe that when great emotion or pain is expressed in a certain location, said location's structure is bombarded by psychokinetic energy. This theory puts ghosts in a light similar to echoes or reflections.

I do believe in god but i am doing the same thing. I believe ghost are here if they are affraid to pass over or have what some people call unfinished buisness. However if there is no god that would make a lot of scense, because maybe
if there is no god the souls don't go anywhere, they stay on Earth in a different realm then we live in.

well yes, i do too believe in ghosts and apparitions for my mothers side of the family have had many freaky experiences. but then again, i might be going off track a little bit but, an alien would have to be i absolutelly no way like us because they come from another place in the galaxy right? the way i see it, a ghost is the most perfect example of an extraterrestrial yet. but i also have has a scary experienceso who knows....
