was anyone else disappointed in the season finale? I thought they spent way to much time focused on the monkey boy cage. Couldn't they have thought up anything better?? also if they wanted to go out with a bang they should have shown the two mine episodes back to back.
It didn't seem like there was anything very paranormal going on in that place at all except for when they tried to speak with monkey boy. Does any one know if the hauntings in that place were more serious then the previous episodes this season? anyway this is getting to long.

One more thing, it actually seemed what was scaring them more were their nerves and just being underground in a dark place.

I dont have much to say about this episode. I wasnt on location. I know that the place is very haunted, has a reputation for being very haunted.

Kriss, I was guessing that you might not have been a big part of that episode because the Sanitorium episode was much better. The dares were well put together and the cast had great energy. And you even had a small starring role! Great job!

Thanks Liz! I really liked the sanitorium location, it was so active and very freaky. The cast was great, and I think briefing them on ghosthunting techniques right before they head out makes a big difference in the show.

Just a comment, I thought the big rapper dude was pretty funny. I can't remember his name though. It was also pretty lame for that one guy who had to spend the night in the room where ever it was then had to spend a couple hours in the cage, they got to be a little more random with the people they choose instead one person doing all the more serious dares.

Yeah!!!! What's up with some of the people getting stuck doing 10 or 20 hours of dares and some people only doing one menial dare? Doesn't seem fair to me. I, personally, thought the guy that got stuck in the furnace (I don't remember the episode), where his camera went out and the furnace doors shut on him should have still gotten the money. That was WAY too freaky (and, if you don't think so, I'd like to see you try it).

Its something called "random selection". It actually makes dares harder because (1) you don't know when or if something like that will happen, (2) all the other members are surely "stressing" that the person will fail and they will have to replace them.

Stressing that someone might quit and you will have to take their place is a dare in itself. Surely, its much easier to do a dare cold turkey than hear about how freaky it is from another player and then have to do it.

i think they should of put this episode before and put serenity lake as the last episode cuz that was defenetly scary... especially when those balls strarted to move by themselves in the childrens ward... what do u guys think?

By MixxMaster on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 - 06:44 pm:

I don't know about those balls. The quick editing, and most of the balls seemed to move in straight lines, back and forth, which COULD be explained by the old uneven floors, as well as the balls being fixed. If they would've started bouncing up and down, and going all over the place at different speeds, it would've been more freakish. I've seen better, more realistic things in FEAR..
Heck, I just rolled a plastic ball across my old wood floor, it moved, then rolled back!!! OMYGAWD, I have ghosts here!!!
Just kidding with you...lol
