FEAR SUX --- MTV HIGHERS ACTORS !

By Carla on Monday, April 15, 2002 - 11:36 pm:

I'm sorry... but, I'm finding it difficult to align myself with someone whose spelling, grammar, & syntax are lacking so...

This should be the correct statement (if I may..)
" FEAR sucks ---MTV hires actors! "

*** Is that what you meant to convey ???

~ I, of course, disagree vehemently with that statement. Perhaps some member here will find you other than amusing.

~ Carla Baron (Psychic, MTV's FEAR)

By Jean Bizek on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 - 01:50 am:

Carla, I couldn't agree with you more. Some people are skeptics, I should know I am married to a huge one. A ghost could form in front of him and he would come up with a rational explanation. Some people are just not programed to grasp what they cannot see and touch.

P.S What a nice site here the MTV message board is just too much for anyone with half a brain to take.

By DjSGGR on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 09:55 am:

i belive FEAR, if they set it up they wouldnt be able to drain the peoples batterys or turn off their flash lights!

By Anonymous on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 06:41 pm:

<sarcasm on>
Ah... but their flashlights and batteries are high-tech remote-controlled devices that they can turn off at will! You should have see all the effort that they go thru to rig the doors to make them slam when nobody is around. And the sophisticated camouflaged speakers (wireless, of course) that they use to make weird noises...
<sarcasm off>

LOL... Carla, get that guy on the show, and let's watch him cry like a baby!

By Brendan on Thursday, April 25, 2002 - 12:18 am:

I love the show and Carla's psychic power's and
the interview's with the locals add the perfect
ammount of undoubtable eeriness. he Mayan one
wasn't that scary but the Tuburculosis Quarantine
was really scary. If I were to be in some of the
people's predicament I feel I could remain c

By Brendan on Thursday, April 25, 2002 - 12:19 am:

If I were to walk through would repeating the song
lyrics "Who's House?.....Run's House!!" But the
truth is I am very happy with the show and would
love to participate. Carla's psychic powers add
the perfect eerie touch to the show. Being Irish I
have a rich tradition with the supernatural

By Cronos on Thursday, April 25, 2002 - 04:55 am:

I'm curious as to Carla's background in Paranormal investigations?

And also to take this opportunity to ask this question.... Considering it has been stated that the show is not "rigged" or a "hoax"... Then how do you feel about taking part in a show that involves subjecting individuals with no actual conditioning to the paranormal, to elements that you yourself often describe as being malicious entities?

By Kriss on Sunday, April 28, 2002 - 05:47 am:

I have heard of that tour guide and his B.S., after close questionning the story did not iron out. Sorry, that guy is an idiot.

By Anonymous on Sunday, April 28, 2002 - 07:10 pm:

I only saw one of the shows, and after that decided not to bother watching any more as it seemed apparent to me that it was some kind of setup. It looked to me like the people taking part were actors (or failing that, simply playing up to the cameras).
I understand that it's meant to be entertainment and not a serious investigation, but I wish that shows like this would state one way or the other when it's pure entertainment/hoax (ie it's been edited and "enhanced" so that you don't know what's real sound/vision and what's added, and that nothing supernatural actually happened).

I'm sure that if they had caught a real ghostly event on film, then showing it with real sound and vision and no effects would be far more scary than a "film" version.

I've heard a lot of people with experience of shows/researchers from the media in general, and I wouldn't trust this show an inch.

By Kriss on Sunday, April 28, 2002 - 09:31 pm:

Its not a hoax. I would like to know who the experienced people you are referring to are and exactly what they said.

By Devshb on Monday, April 29, 2002 - 03:23 am:

well, it looked like a pure entertainment show to me rather than anything real, but I could be wrong. I'm not saying it's a hoax, but it's so dressed up that it's impossible to even be able to make an intelligent guess, so I err on the side of caution and refuse to believe any of it.
(the "experienced people" I referred to were not related to this show, but the media in general, and they're from the uk. obviously I can't name them, but I've learnt a few of the nastier tricks that some show researchers use)

By Devshb on Monday, April 29, 2002 - 03:29 am:

(I have equally dubious feelings about the so-called "tour-guide" who says it was completely setup, and his motives, so I don't feel anyone who's just a viewer could make a rational judgement as to what its true nature is unless they were part of the crew)

By Anonymous on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 - 08:23 am:

Contrary to our friends spelling, he is correct. A friend of mine went on FEAR (Not giving out their info so don't bother) and told me all sorts of stories of how they were "coached".

The show is a fake.

By Kriss on Friday, May 17, 2002 - 09:29 pm:

Ok, anonymous, I am one of the only ones that briefs the cast, so I know they are not coached. I would love to know where you people get this stuff.

By Paraseek Webmaster (Admin) on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 - 02:10 pm:

They get it from no where. That's the point.
Interesting what one line of incoherent dribble than produce. Ahhh, so is life.

By Anonymous on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 - 02:28 pm:

Hey Kriss please explain why whenever someone disagrees with you or discounts anything that FEAR does you immediatley result to name calling?

You know I learned in my Psych 101 class that is a common tactic to divert people from the truth that person people called these names is speaking.

So my guess is that guy is not an "idiot" but is speaking the truth as are others on here that come out in evident droves to debunk FEAR.

Now I am being civil so I am curious to see if you can do the same.

By Devshb on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 - 05:58 pm:

Personally, I never trust any tv programme, especially a paranormal one, regardless of the qualities of the research team or investigators. I just weigh up the evidence that's offered in the programme, and then try to work out in my own mind if I think that evidence stands up to scrutiny, and then cross-reference that evidence with my own knowledge/understanding.
My personal view is that I've yet to see a single paranormal programme which has any true scientific basis/methods (ie which isn't just a tabloid show).

Some of the places featured might well be haunted, but given the total lack of evidence and scientific methods shown in the programmes, there's no way a viewer can say either way if it's genuine or not.

Such programmes should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt. Anyone who says otherwise must by definition have a hidden agenda, because a contrary statement would go against the facts.

I agree Devshb........and you hit the nail on the head with that post.

By Tholt on Friday, May 24, 2002 - 09:08 pm:

Anonymous,
For someone who won't even give their first name or screen name you sure are a loudmouthed opinionated blowhard. Why don't you become a contestant and we'll see how long it takes for you to piss your pants and blubber like a baby ? Why don't you start giving us the name of your friend on FEAR to back up your BS. Oh right of course you don't want to get anyone in trouble. If bullcrap were music you'd be a symphony orchestra.
Maybe you should go back to Pysch 101 and look up the part about people who evade questions and speak in generalities when asked a direct question. Perhaps you should also look up the parts about imaginary friends with no name as well.

you are all fucking stupid and dont know what your talking about

By Missygirl7374 on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 - 05:55 pm:

I agree with Tina. Anyone who can sit there and hear stories that something is not true should put their money where their mouth is. Go on the show!! If you hear this or hear that, go on the show. Then, if you dont believe, then state your opinion. But until then quit being a follower.

Well, think about this everyone. If you go in there beliving that you will win the cash and stuff, then of course they will set you with something good to scar the shit out of you.

If you have a strong belife in something, like God, then it will be harder for this to seem real or it will be easier to make you have "fear".

Some of the stuff that Fear had showen looks nearly impossible to act out. The look on the people's faces are different then ones in a show are movie. And some get kick off, so they probably don't fake *most* of this stuff up.

I dunno, this is just my thoughts...
