I like the show because it creates more exposure for something that is really happening across the world wich in turn, will create more tools and answers. When I was a kid I saw goasts many times and no one talked about that kind of stuff, it certinly was not on T.V.
The thing I don't like about Fear is you can tell the producers don't know anything about the paranormal, hauntings, spirits or phychics because of the situations they put the players in the things they make them do like channeling ect.
you certinly can tell that they don't respect spirit it's like a game to them like hide and seek.

yeah i hear you you can also open portals by channeling and if its already haunted i dont think it needs anymore sprits...... anyway i hope they do try to make it alittle more like a hunt than a friday the 13th movie this next season.... i think kriss is working on them to get them to try to show any little bit of paranormal activity that happens.... i hope the producers know that the show on family has them beat in that catagory.... but it is still a kick ass show!!

I am working very hard on them! I think this season will be different. We are handling things from a more investigative angle. So far.

Hey Kriss, does MTV ever pick anyone above the age of 22 to be on Fear? Is it just a coincidence that everyone is young, or is that because the younger people are less experienced and more frightened? lol Will they ever pick older people?

By Kriss on Saturday, May 26, 2001 - 12:49 am:

The age group is supposedly 18-25, but there are exceptions, and they seem to pick the younger ones dont they? I wish they would pick older people, believe me I have ghost hunted with many old people and they always freak out.

lol the old people you've hunted with freak you out? How old are you? What "exceptions" do you mean? What do you think about "Scariest Places On Earth" (if you've seen it)?

By Kriss on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 04:20 am:

I have seen Scariest Places, as a matter of fact, I worked for them the first Summer they were shooting. I have a problem with that show. FEAR doesnt purport itself to be a serious paranormal investigative show, Scariest Places does. The problem is I know some of the places they are "investigating" first hand, and they make stuff up all the time, blatently lie about the history of some of the hauntings and basically do a lousy job at it. I think it sucks.

I am 34. One of the groups I used to hunt with was made up of mostly 40+ years of age, not that anythings wrong with that, but many of them would scream if they saw a rat or thought they heard something. Younger people did too, I was simply pointing out that older doesnt necessarily mean braver.

lol good point. Still, it must've been nice to work with at least a few mature individuals. lol
At first, I really liked "Scariest Places..." but now, it just seems fishy. Like you said, it doesn't seem true. I saw one recently that was just plain bad. They claimed this old farm house was haunted, due to the hundreds of unmarked graves under it. They had some claimed "expert" (I use the term loosely) with dowling rods to find graves! My family has been using rods for decades at least, but for wells, not graves. It's a fact that they react to water. It was amusing to watch though. And as far as the one guy finding a tiny portion of what appeared to be a bone, that was just too much. Even if it was a bone, even if it wasn't planted, chances are extremely slim it was human. lol Living on a cattle ranch my whole life, I've seen my share of miscellaneous bones in the woods. That doesn't mean I've stumbled upon a murdered person. It means a coyote got lucky with a calf. lol Oh well. At least with their show, we can see older people wet their pants alongside the youngsters.

Thats true! :) I hate that they come off as legitimate, and they lie about so much, stuff that isnt even necessary. Sigh.
