Massive Door Slam in Slave Cemetary Episode!

Paraseek Webmaster (Admin) on Monday, April 16, 2001 - 02:24 pm:

Would like your comments on the massive door slam in the main house of the Slave Cem. ep.

It occured just after one of the girls laid in the raped slaves bed and put her head under the sheet, as sure sign that her aura was totally dark and she had no personal protection or preparation. She would do anythign, true, but was obviously ignorant of the situation.

The door slam was incredibly hard and came after no wind was shown anywhere in the room (the sheets, etc). And no more movement after that point. THoughts?

By Anonymous on Monday, April 16, 2001 - 03:01 pm:

I too, am curious about that slamming door. That was the first time I had actually seen something happen on camera that was not obviously "explainable". Unless someone proves otherwise, I think that scene was probably rigged by the producers to get a good scream out of the girl.

By Kriss on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 - 04:30 am:

This is another one of those "things". We DID NOT slam the door. She was alone in the building. These kids really are isolated.

I was not there for this shoot, I was already at Fort Gaines, but this is one of my locations. We had to change the names because the owners insisted. This plantation is haunted by the ghost of a witch that lived her entire life on this property. I can tell you all that she was not happy with us! We had lights explode, equipment move and a weird electrical interference with the phones and the cameras. I witnessed the two lights popping within minutes of each other during pre-production.

Once agian, I will watch this episode and get back to you with my thoughts. I can tell you this, the crew freaked out when they realized the door had slammed.

By Paraseek Webmaster (Admin) on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 - 11:58 am:

Kris,

I am curious...when things like this happen
why don't they show replays and close ups
of these events. People are watching for the
science of this stuff as well as the kids.
They want to see this stuff. You have cameras
all over the place and if you have proof or
anything anomolous the best way to bring viewers in is to focus on this stuff.

PS...do you guys ever rig anything like this
besides the props mentioned on the computer.
I assume besides what the computer mentions, everything there
has not been rigged?

WILL JP

By Kriss Stephens (Kriss) on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 - 02:33 pm:

We dont rig anything. We use props, but thats it.

I dont know why they dont show replays of the paranormal stuff that happens. It really irritates me. They would rather show cast members screaming or urinating into a bucket over and over. I am hoping they will compile the anomalous stuff into a paranormal episode, you know MTV likes to do specials. I am working on them.

By P.R. on Saturday, April 28, 2001 - 12:28 am:

When you use the term "witch", what exactly are you referring to? Are you saying that, in the practice of voodoo, they refer to themselves as "witches"? I had not heard that before, and am currently not aware that they do (though, I'll be the first to admit, not an expert on voodoo here). I ask because the word "witch" is thrown around alot, many times incorrectly.

As far as the door, that was pretty shocking. That was probably the first time the entire season where I had to sit up and rewind the tape a few times.

By Joe Blastemry on Sunday, April 29, 2001 - 05:26 pm:

The door slam was the most shocking moment in the history of fear in my opinion, and i've seen them all.. i didn't see any sign of activity around the door before or after it slammed which i found a bit interesting.. my question is that i'd like to know if there are any scenes you dont show that have real pictures of ghosts, or if you do have them, would your sensors let you put them on the air?

By Kriss on Sunday, April 29, 2001 - 06:22 pm:

We have some weird stuff, but not anything great. I personally took some infra-red video at the USS Hornet that has an orb moving around, but the producers didnt think it was flashy enough. These guys arent ghost hunters, and they really arent interested in phenomena unless its big, bright or loud, like the door slamming.

I answered the witch question, but I dont see my post, so I will restate it briefly.

I use the term witch to refer to Kity Pate because thats how I think of her. I think anyone that practices magic can be referred to as a witch. I know several voodoo practitioners, and they all qualify as witches to me.

By Anonymous on Sunday, May 13, 2001 - 06:15 pm:

Kriss
Can you tell us about the girl on the USS Hornet who had the blood in her mouth. How could this happen? Also did the MTV producers know that they had a medium in this cast. I was glad that she was not disquallified for not doing her dare exactly how she was supposed to. Can you also tell me how MTV can insure the saftey of their contestants with dares such as the metal spikes at the boy's school or the Duggan Bros hanging dare. Would a spirit be able to sabbatage any saftey measures that are taken? Also are you the pretty blonde medium that is featured on the shows?

By Admin on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 - 02:39 pm:

I agree it was the most significant thing to happen to date. There is absolutely NO WAY that wind could have caused that door slam.

(1) There was no wind. Look at the fabric in the room and dust. Nothing was moving nor oculd you hear any wind.

(2) The door was opened at a position where wind couldn't have pushed it, and certainly not at that velocity. It would have moved slowly and THEN slammed. It didn't. It moved like someone took an arm and slammed it.

I feel the reason it slammed was the girl went under the covers and really when she did that her aura changed to very dark grey. You don't protect yourself by hiding under covers, you protect yourself by thinking positive thoughts.

She had already invaded this woman's bed and once her guard was dropped, well, yous aw what happened.

In my opinion this girl should not have been allowe don this show. She was a danger to the team.

KRIS...yes, I wish they would compile a SCIENCE episode of fear. The Weaver's, who worked with fear and work with us to writing articles for free for us, probably would love to do something with you as would paraseek.

Hi, this is addressed to the anonymous person posting May 13, 2001.... the producers have the cast members agree to participate in these dares with the understanding that there may be some safety issues which may arise during their FEAR adventure. The production team has done everything humanly possible to ensure the safety of their cast and crew, but, as you well know, sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of anyone occupying this 3rd dimension.... this is rare, but, indeed DOES OCCUR ! The producers would then quickly address any mishap or unearthly occurrence in the best way possible. Believe me, they are professionals in their own right, and would ALWAYS do the right thing.

(Oh, you asked if KRISS was the pretty blonde medium featured in the USS Hornet and all the other FEAR episodes.... KRISS is the paranormal investigator, and I (Carla Baron) am the psychic (clairvoyant/clairaudient) for the show. I believe it was me you were so nicely complimenting. Thank you for your flattering words... you made my day !

By Brian Cloughen on Saturday, March 23, 2002 - 01:13 pm:

I was wondering if you saw the two lights in the background at la guerre plantation when the kid was in the cemetery one of them seemed to move to the other light what was that?. And also how far are you guys from the actual place when the show goes on(incase of a inccident)

By Kriss on Monday, March 25, 2002 - 03:39 am:

We are not anywhere near the location, its an important part of the show for the cast to be isolated. However, they are able to contact us by walkie-talkie or computer if someone needs medical attention. We do have medical professionals standing by.

I did not notice the lights your referring to. I have been in that cemetery, and let me assure you that its in the middle of the woods, there are no lights visible from it at all, and there is nothing inhabited in the area either. Could it have been the sights on the camera?

By Brian on Monday, March 25, 2002 - 04:43 pm:

Another Question. Do you guys get alot of people who sign up to be in the cast is it that hard to get on the show. And also in the mina dos estrellas episode did you see when the girl is alone in the safe house and the lights go off something walks by the camera. could it be a ghost.

By Kriss on Monday, March 25, 2002 - 10:15 pm:

you are the second person to mention that shadow to me, I didnt notice it,and I havent had a chance to watch it again. I will though.

We have casting calls, and I have never been to one, I have nothing to do with casting, so I dont know how many people show up, but I would think alot of people do. Keep an eye on the fear page of the mtv website, it will let you know when and where the casting calls will be if we do another season.

By Brian on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 02:44 pm:

Thank you for readin and answering my questions it means alot to me.

By Kriss on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 11:37 pm:

No problem!

By Brian on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 - 09:15 pm:

Kriss hi wasup i have another question did you investigate camp spirit lake for MTV

By Kriss on Thursday, March 28, 2002 - 05:35 am:

Hows it hanging? Nope, I didnt work for them then, I came on board just after that episode.

By Brian on Thursday, March 28, 2002 - 10:09 am:

By Paraseek Webmaster (Admin) on Thursday, March 28, 2002 - 12:24 pm:

Kriss,

what would you say the odds of MTV ordering more episodes at this point?

By FearFanRFJ on Friday, March 29, 2002 - 01:24 am:

hey Kriss,
i got to say FEAR is a really cool show on MTV. I got a few quesions for u.
first, in the USS Hornet episode, when the girl was sitting down and there were those temperature changes in the backround on the cameras, could her bleeding lip be caused by the spirit of the guy who was murdered there? My theory is that he felt her as a intruder and was maybe "reinacting" his fight with the officers before he died.

Why was the last dare with Tyress trying to contact the spirit of the guy who got his head split open shortened out to about 2 minutes ?

In the Mexico episode that recently aired, do YOU think the Mahaul actually caused the electricity to go outin the safe house when the girl was alone ?

You all should consider doing a episode down here in Texas. We have the Alamo thats been CERTIFIED as haunted. Also down here in South Texas the Brownsville College is haunted with the spirits of the soldiers that fought in the Battle for Mexico.
Thanks kriss for any comments u respond with !!

By Kriss on Friday, March 29, 2002 - 07:42 pm:

Umm, I dont know exactly why the chicks mouth started bleeding. I do know that room was very active, and ghosts can harm you.

That last dare was actually a little longer, they edited it to make it fit the time frame.

I dont know what happened to the electricity. I do know that ghosts do mess with electronics, they have done stuff like this before at different locations.

We cant do the Alamo, its a national shrine, and I dont think they would like us jacking with the place. Also, we use big, isolated locations that are haunted.

By FearFanRFJ on Sunday, March 31, 2002 - 02:11 am:

hey kriss,
me again, thank u SO much for responding ! Me and a good friend of mine bought the MTV: Inside FEAR DVD!! i gotta say its the coolest ! it got me spooked out. Were you in it ? I now understand some of the dares after seeing it. Got some more questions for u !

If a contestant were to get injured or seriously hurt doing a dare, how fast will u all get to them if the crew leaves them alone ?

In your opinion, which is the SCARIEST dare that a contestant did ?

What was the Lamest ( not very scary) dare a contestant did in your opinion ?

Ok, u can forget about the Alamo, but is there any place you all looked at or considered in Texas ?? Thanks for responding !

By Trdan69 on Monday, April 1, 2002 - 12:21 am:

Hi kriss...do u have any info on "Mina dos estrellas" ? thanx...by the way did anyone notice that there was like 5 door slams on the second episode od Mina Dos estrellas?

By Kriss on Monday, April 1, 2002 - 09:08 pm:

I would love to find a location in Texas, I will be checking one out next week.

As for emergency response time, that isnt my department, I have no idea, but I am sure the producers are on top of it.

I think the scariest dare on the shows that have aired was in Eastern State Penitentiary in Phillie where the guy stayed in the cell overnight. That cellblock was very active, I had my hair pulled by a ghost there and another crew member had been pushed down the stairs right outside the cell involved in the dare. I was the most worried for that cast member.

Lamest is a tie between the roach box at the cement factory and the kachina dolls at Fort Gaines.

Trdan69, door slamming is a very common manifestation of a haunting. Ghosts LOVE to slam doors, we have it happen all the time. Information on the mines is hard to find, trust me, I had to research it. Your best bet is to follow leads from www.mtv.com

By Trdan69 on Monday, April 1, 2002 - 09:40 pm:

I have...ive been searching on MTV and i did a search ....i speak spanish so its a little easier cuz most sites turn up to be in spanish...please could u just give me a name or anything or if u want u can email me at roxyhottie90@hotmail.com this ghost stuff is very interesting...ive always belived in ghosts even tho ive never had a expirience with one i always belived in them and id love to learn more abou tthem and the locations thats i wanted to know the names of the locations etc... could u give me a clue about the mine? please?

By Kriss on Monday, April 1, 2002 - 10:49 pm:

This is what I have in my personal file as a name "Minos Dos Estrellas", in Tlalpujahua Mexico. 500 mine workers died in a flood, and that is supposed to be the worst mining disaster in Mexico's history.

By Anonymous on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 - 12:36 am:

thanks alot ima do another search

By Martin on Sunday, April 7, 2002 - 05:19 am:

Kriss -
Great to hear the "scoop" from an insider!!!

The best, the BEST episode, was the documentary that you had of Fear, where the guy gets push by some unseen thing and he runs like hell. Either he's an actor that should win an Oscar, or the fear was real!!!

By FearFanRFJ on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 - 12:54 am:

Thanx Kriss again ! Im not use to going to this site, so i would like to talk to u through emails. Me and my friends are way over our heads in this paranormal stuff. Were practically obsessed with it ! Ask the people at school, were always talking about ghosts and such. Well Kriss ill email some questions i have, love to hear from u !

By FearFanRFJ on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 - 12:57 am:

Well like i said me and my friends are obsessed with Fear right now. I got to say this Sundays episodes was kinda lame. Nothing really happened. Me and my friend got bored alittle ! I guess it was because last weeks was really good that this one didnt compare to it. Kriss, as for texas, me adn my friends will help u out on searching ! That would be so cool if we could meet u !
thanks

By Kriss on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 - 01:52 am:

I am on the road, so I havent had a chance to watch that episode yet. I'm sorry to hear that you didnt like it.

By Brian on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 - 09:22 pm:

Hey Kriss were their any missing episodes where you did the whole FEAR thing and never aired it

By Ctankersen on Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 04:37 pm:

I really liked the episode at the state mental hospital. Is there a way to purchase an episode? I have told many of my friends about it when I saw it last year. I am overseas now so I don't get MTV anymore.
Thanks,
Chad

By Kim on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 - 05:26 am:
