http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11207c.htmSt. Odilo became abbot of Cluny shortly before Abbot Mayeul's death in 994. The Cluniac reform flourished during his tenure in office, and St. Odilo was instrumental in bringing about the "Peace of God". He died in 1048.
